Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Reinforces Its Leadership in Women’s Empowerment Through a Dynamic February Agenda
Abu Dhabi, 18 February 2026 – Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy continues to strengthen its pioneering role in empowering women and enhancing the presence of women’s sports in the United Arab Emirates through a comprehensive agenda of programs, events, initiatives, and championships throughout the month of February. This reflects the Academy’s strategic commitment to supporting women and inspiring them to actively participate in various sporting activities.
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance women’s health and quality of life, the Academy organized an awareness workshop titled “Your Journey To Healthy Eating” in collaboration with Danat Al Emarat Hospital. The workshop focused on empowering participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle aligned with daily life demands, while highlighting the importance of social support in maintaining healthy habits and achieving long-term sustainability.
Under the “Year of Family” initiatives and in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the Academy strengthened its community presence by opening its padel courts daily for families and children, providing daily access to football fields, and allocating the running track for families throughout Ramadan. This initiative reflects the Academy’s vision of positioning sport as a bridge for family connection and a platform to enhance community cohesion during the holy month, within a safe and motivating environment that promotes a healthy lifestyle and reinforces a culture of physical activity.
The Academy will also organize a series of Ramadan Women’s Championships from 22 February to 2 March, welcoming participants from various age groups. The competitions will include basketball, volleyball, padel, football, and running. These championships aim to support the development of women’s sports, encourage community participation, and strengthen the presence of widely practiced sports across the UAE.
As part of its February agenda, the Academy held the “Mother of the Nation” Jiu-Jitsu Cup, held over two days.
Additionally, Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy hosted the Open Masters Games – Abu Dhabi 2026 – Ladies Edition, which took place from 7 to 15 February 2026. The Tournaments witnessed wide participation, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination for hosting major sporting events.
Driven by its vision to support and develop women’s sports, the Academy continues to launch impactful initiatives that empower female athletes and provide competitive platforms enabling them to showcase their capabilities at both local and international levels. The Academy also continues to expand its programs and strategic partnerships to ensure sustainable opportunities for talent development and athletic advancement, supporting the aspirations and future ambitions of its members, through comprehensive Sports Training Program in Basketball, Volleyball, and Football, as well as Martial arts including Jiu-jitsu, Karate, and Kickboxing, delivered under the supervision of highly qualified coaches and in line with the highest professional standards.
