Tomorrow: Fatima bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award to Honor Outstanding Female Athletes at Emirates Palace
The city of Abu Dhabi is set to host tomorrow, Tuesday, 18 November, the awards ceremony for the ninth edition of the Fatima bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award at Emirates Palace Hotel. The ceremony is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. The event is organized with the support and guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Ladies Clubs.
Launched to empower women in the sports sector, the Fatima bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award highlights the achievements of female athletes throughout the year and promotes competitiveness and excellence across women’s sports. The award continues to foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages female athletes to elevate their performance to new heights.
This year’s edition presents a total prize pool of AED 2 million, distributed across eight individual and team categories, in addition to a special award recognizing the Arab Sports Personality of the Year.
