Description

The Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Chess Club & Mind Games announce the Chess Arbitration Course on:

  • Date: Saturday 29th of April 2023.
  • Time: 3-6 pm.
  • Location: Abu Dhabi Ladies Club.

 

What you will learn

  1. Duties and functions of the referee and the law of chess
  2. Legal specifications for chess tools
  3. The difference between classes, rapid and lighting type of chess
  4. Understanding the basics of the chessboard
  5. Understand the names of each the chess pieces
  6. Understand the movements of each piece
  7. Describe the moves and determine the value of the chess pieces
  8. Understand the exact moves of the game
  9. Understand the importance of controlling the position
  10. Be able to analyze their matches and make better choice
  11. Be able to explain to others how to play chess

Aim of the Course:

  • Attracting women to participate and building a female sports base in various sports fields and experiences
  • Providing opportunities to participate in local arbitration in the United Arb Emirates.

Course outputs:

All participations will receive a certificate approved by the Abu Dhabi Chess Club and an opportunity to arbitrate in the fifth edition of the Fatima bint Mubarak International Academy champions for Women’s Blitz on April 30, 2023

Requirements:

  • A chess board and pieces
  • Chess experience (beginner to intermediate)
  • The registration fee is 50 AED
