Under the generous patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and the "Mother of the Nation",
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in collaboration with General Women Union and Abu Dhabi Ladies Club among other parties, organize an Open Day Program entitled "Breast cancer: Awareness Challenges" on the occasion of dedicating the month of October each year to rise awareness and prevention's.
The program brings together different partners including Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre , Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, NMC Royal Women's Hospital, Etihad Airways. The programs aim to spread awareness and disease prevention. It is also directed to spreading the culture of sports by creating a healthy and fit society that follows healthy life habits, daily.
A full day will be dedicated to provide activities and various workshops like Health Awareness, Health Checks, Sports Sessions, Competitions, Prizes and much more.
The program includes:
- Health education
- Medical examinations
- LIVE health awareness sessions
- Health Nutrition Consultancy and Body Fat Assessment
- Free sports sessions
- Drawing workshop
- A variety of competitions and prizes
- Prevention - Between awareness and challenge march (Walk) at 5 pm
