Description
As we continue to support women in sports, we are proud to announce our marathon race event alongside NYU Abu Dhabi: 'Katching Kosgei'
Katching Kosgei aims to break Bridgid Kosgei's remarkable marathon record time of 2:14:04 minutes - the fastest female marathon runner in the world.
Only 8 teams will take on the challenge in a team relay race, with each runner completing 200 meter splits to complete 42.2 kilometers. Katching Kosgei will also implement an activation zone during the event, inviting community initiatives that support the development of women’s activities & women’s health around Abu Dhabi. This is the female version of Katching Kipchoge; which was a mixed gender race that attempted to break Eliud Kipchoge’s fastest marathon run in history with a record of 2:01:39 seconds
